Aerometals Inc., located in El Dorado Hills, California, (CAGE CODE 32664) is a 40-year veteran of commercial and military aircraft parts manufacturing. Aerometals is a government contractor serving the Department of Defense and Defense Logistics Agencies since 1983. Aerometals offers a full range of production services including CNC machining and turning, sheet metal fabrication, welding, advanced composites, NADCAP chemical processing (paint), electronics, and assembly. We have vertically integrated the manufacturing processes necessary to maintain the highest quality standards as evidenced by our AS 9100 Rev D Certification.

Aerometals has a strong culture that provides its employees with a fun and innovative environment within which to work. That culture enables the company to attract and maintain top caliber employees. The average length of employment exceeds 8 years with a high percentage of personnel having over 10 years of service. Aerometals provides products for just about every aircraft in the U.S. Military arsenal, including both fixed-wing and rotary-wing applications. C-130, KC-135, C-5, A-10, F-15, F-16, F-18, UH-60, and CH-47 aircraft are just a few examples. A certified small business, Aerometals still averages nearly 800 US Government contracts per year.

The Company has 20+ Inlet Barrier Filter Systems with FAA Supplemental Type Certificates (STC’s). As a vertically integrated developer and manufacturer, all systems are designed, developed, certified and manufactured by Aerometals. The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has recently awarded Aerometals a seven-year IDQ contract for our MH-60M IBF system. The U.S. Army SOCOM aircraft will receive increased safety and efficiency due to the IBF system’s protection from ingestion of sand, dirt, debris, and salt nuclei ingestion.

Aerometals machining capability is supported by 3 Axis, 4 Axis, and 5 Axis CNC mills, a 5 Axis CNC router, and conventional and Live Tool CNC lathes. Aerometals also utilizes 2 waterjets, hydraulic press brakes, a punch press, a hydroform, and welding machines.

Aerometals advanced composites department is supported by 3 autoclaves, a CNC ply cutter, and in-house solid or washout mold and plug manufacturing capability.

Utilizing this equipment to the highest standards falls to the more than capable hands of the 100+ production personnel that inhabit Aerometals 150,000 sq. ft. facility.

Aerometals has developed and certified over 300 PMA and STC components for rotary wing aircraft including primary structure, advanced composites, propulsion system, fuel system, avionics, main and tail rotor, landing gear, and sheet metal and interior components. Aerometals performs nearly all aspects of manufacturing in-house.

Aerometals has an engineering team of over 30 degreed engineers including mechanical, electrical, and aeronautical disciplines. Aerometals uses the latest in CAD Software (Solid Works) as well as several analysis software packages (Ansys, CFX, Fluent). Aerometals engineering is involved in every aspect of the product life cycle from the initial conceptual design, through the certification and production cycles, all the way through sustainment and customer feedback driven product improvements. Always striving to improve upon designs to bring the most value to our customers is at the core of Aerometals΄ values.

Aerometals also performs all certification and production testing for everything from simple structural tests to complex turbine engine power and operability testing and analysis. While unique environmental and material evaluation is coordinated outside of our facility, static and dynamic loading, functional evaluation, aircraft fit, bird strike, and even flight-testing is performed at our facility. Aerometals has built several product specific endurance test rigs and continues to take on ever harder testing challenges.

Over 100 hours of flight-testing was performed as a part of the S-92A Inlet Barrier Filter certification effort. Aerometals also performs contract flight testing for evaluation of aircraft and turbine engine performance of customer PMA, STC, or other modification parts.

All aspects of Aerometals as a company are driven by our quality policy: “Aerometals is dedicated to meeting or exceeding customer requirements by providing its customers with the highest quality parts possible, on time, and at the lowest possible price. Aerometals personnel will constantly strive to improve processes to reduce the number of nonconformities found during inspections and reduce the flow-time to manufacture each product.” The warfighters we support deserve nothing but the best.
